Book Jacket
Going on holiday with your boyfriend should be heavenly. Spending all that time together, fooling around in the sun--bliss. So when he says he wants you to go camping with him and his four mates, what do you do?

You leave him behind.

When Kelly arrives in Greece with Jade and Sarah, she knows she's done the right thing. The clifftop farmhouse is gorgeous, the sea and sun is fantastic, and the freedom makes her dizzy. The days stretch our idyllically before the three girls, and the nights ... it couldn't be more perfect, until a van arrives with five familiar lads in it.

From the Author
Footloose was chosen by SUGAR mag as 'Best Holiday Read'
SUGAR (July 1999) said: It's a perfect holiday read, filled with sun, sand and saucy bits!' I wanted to write an upbeat summer book that you can sling in a beach bag and read in the sun. I had huge fun writing it which is always a good sign - if you don't enjoy writing it how can you expect people to enjoy reading it? A big theme for Footloose is the whole thing of finding out who you are and living that - not trying to be what someone else is or someone else wants. I got very involved with my characters. Jade is very gorgeous and energetic and predatory around boys. Sarah is quiet and mystical - she senses ghosts - and she's the one the holiday has the biggest effect on. Kelly is wrapped up in balancing what she needs against the demands of her relationship with the rather overpowering Mike: "I was feeling like I was in a meat grinder, you know? Everything with Mike had got very ... pressured. Like I didn't know what I really thought any more, or felt, or ... or anything.' Mike has 'real strong features, wonderful eyes, sexy teeth' and he's ... well, read it and find out!

Best Cann Book5
This book is brilliant - have been to Greece and this is exactly what its like. My best mate and me love all Kate Cann's books but Footloose is both our faves. If you've ever been in love/lust or even just been to Greece you'll love this book! Everyone knows someone like Kelly, Jade or Sarah (the 3 main characters) and this book is perfect to bring on holiday!! I have read this book loads of times and I still haven't got bored of it, will be bringing it to Ibiza this year as well - you can't get bored because it's so modern and you know what Kelly is going through! Definetely buy this book, it's brilliant and you won't regret it!!

Fun loving, summer chilling holiday romance!5
This book was Kate Cann's best book so far, and just by reading the 1st three pages, you can see why. Her tale of summer kisses and the ups and downs of a realtionship are unmatchable and the setting is described well, leaving you with un-deniable pangs of post-holiday blues. Kelly is a headstrong teen and her realtionship with Mike is continually on the rocks, when it comes to sex, there is no exception. Mike wants her to go on holiday with him and five mates...this isn't Kelly's idea of a holiday and she is elated when a friend offers her two weeks in the sun with her. She takes this offer..and when Mike turns up on their holiday home doorstep, she isn't particualrly happy. The book leaves a lot to the imagination and every page leaves you wanting more! I think that it suitable for anybody over the age of 13 as some of it's content could be considered unsuitable for the younger generation. Overall, it is everything that you could want from a summer romance and much much more!!!!!!

A great romantic novel for the summer!5
I thought this book was fantastic! It was so easy to get into and I had to tear myself away from reading it all in one night! It's a must for all us girls out there who love reading about relationships, friendships and exotic summer holidays! It was so easy to get into the character of Kelly and understand her thoughts and feelings. It also was great in the way you can completely relate to what she goes through with her boyfriend and friends....... The only thing I can critisize is the fact that the beginning was a bit to long and it didn't have much of a middle. Also, the ending wasn't how you'd expect, you kinda had to imagine what would happen between Kelly and Mike, but in a way that worked to an advantage. Altogether I find it a really good read and I recommend it to all girls aged 14 - 19.
