Amazon.co.uk Review
Anticipation for 'N Sync's follow-up to their mega-platinum self-titled debut rose even higher with its delay, caused by a lawsuit whose end they celebrate in the album's title. An unsurprising mix of ballads and uptempo tunes, including a nod toward hip-hop-influenced R&B with a guest appearance by TLC's Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes on "Space Cowboy", No Strings Attached promises that the teen-pop fad still has a while to run. --Rickey Wright

My fave album!! Much better than other boybands albums!!
I think this album is really good. *Nsync are definately not like other boybands, they've got a lot more talent than them. Justin, JC, Chris, Lance and Joey's voices are all so different that they somehow manage to fit in really well together. I never had really paid attention to *Nsync until Justin went solo and i really liked his music so i thought i'd try out this album. Although Justins album is a lot different to this i really like this album and would recommend it to anyone. Its not got a great deal of ballads on, which i personally think is quite good!! My fave song is 'Bye, bye, bye' although i like all the other songs as well. Im definately an *Nsync fan now!! If you like this album then you'll also like Justin Timberlakes - Justified!!
An extraordinary compliment to the pop world.
Apparently the first boy-band album for defensive "I don't like boy-bands!" fans, this is a work of pop genius. Believe it or not, I don't like boy-bands, or not specifically; my usual purchases are soundtracks and film scores, but I have the occasional favourite random album, and 'No Strings Attached' is one of them.
Firstly, it's one of those few albums that anybody can find where they like all of the tracks (N.B. that *I* like all of them; just my individual opinion!). 'Bye Bye Bye' is that catchy cliché pop track that so many like, but NSync managed to produce an album that's not full of the same stuff and that is surprisingly independent, not being dominated by the usual tacky, meaningless pop. I mean, all of the typical elements are certainly there (e.g. lovey-dovey lyrics, computer sound effects and voice warping), but the overall output seems to resonate quality and make you want to get up and dance, in whatever situation!
A pretty even mix of dance tunes and ballads is spread across the CD, with 'No Strings Attached' being my favourite fast track and 'I Thought She Knew' being the top ballad (partially because it is a voice-only track full of harmonies of the type that just makes me melt!). Forget NSync even trying to take over the Backstreet Boys, Boyzone or Westlife... this album shows that they're most definitely settling their own standards.
How can you top this?
I'm another boy who's bought this album after hearing Bye Bye Bye on the radio. I was not disappointed. This is a fantastic album that they have put their all into making. The lack of soppy ballads is apparent on this album. Most boy bands love to add these but they often make a pop album a lot weaker. The couple that are included on this album, however, only serve to improve the quality of the album and give it a mixed, varied and fresh feel. It's pure pop and pop at it's very best. This album should be huge and the guys deserve. Best track on the album? Either Bye Bye Bye or No Strings Attached. You'd be hard pressed to find a song you didn't like though.
