Customer Reviews

The Janet and John Guide to Cuba1
I've just returned this pathetic little book - which I purchased partly because it was the most recently published. It is ridiculously small and generalized, and seemed old fashioned - with sterotypical photos and very limited information. A total waste of time.
However, "The Time Out Guide to Havana" - which I also purchased - seems very very good and full of interesting and useful information. and I would thoroughly recommend.

Very concise and informative4
A very informative and useful guidebook, although does not portray Varadero as a nice place to stay (it was lovely!)

Berlitz Cuba3
Usual Berlitz 'just enough' book, for those who want a decent overall flavour without going into reams, and THE one which really IS a pocket book. Bit of background history, tips on local customs and feast days, some language and a description of each area. Also has 'features' scattered throughout the guide, which tell you interesting tit-bits. Usual great value. I've only given it 3 stars because it can't compare with other Berlitz books in its content as much. This is more to do with Cuba than Berlitz. As Cuba develops as a destination (which I'm sure it will), I expect there'll be much more to say in future guides. Still worth buying -particularly for such a small price. (Andrew Hirst)
