Interior designers know that paint, fabric and carpet are only the start of a room scheme: it is the creative finishing touches that really bring a room to life. These smaller details give a room personality - a pretty edging on a blind or the way pictures have been grouped above a fireplace. These are the money-can't-buy tricks that professional stylists use every day to make their rooms look beautiful. "101 Creative Touches" puts all the expert knowledge of an army of stylists into the hands of the home decorator and provides a wide range of insider secrets with simple instructions to get the ideas off the pages and into their homes. The book is divided by project type into eight sections and each project is supported by a beautiful full-colour photo, a list of what's needed to carry out the technique and easy-to-follow instructions. At the back of the book, there's an invaluable list of specialist suppliers for the materials which are used throughout.

Customer Reviews
Too simple!
If you are interested in decoration and are a keen reader of decoration magazines, this book is not an essential for you...ok, there are good ideas in this pocket-size book but I found most of them very simplistic...and not very innovative...I found only 10 out of 101 ideas interesting. Painting a wooden object or glueing flower patterns everywhere is not a very creative touch I think...If you are new to decoration and crafts, you'd love the book because the instructions are easy to follow and the materials are easy to find...However, I should warn you that the projects are not explained by photos step-by-step, which means there are the instructions and the photo of the final look!
