A quality, sturdy product with great features
I received this item today and was very pleased. It really is a great quality item not like my old stand fan that leaned to one side and was just plain cheap. The first impression you get is how heavy the base is so you know it will stand firm. It takes about 20 minutes to put all the bits together but you only need a phillips screwdriver and the rest of the bits are hand tightened. The remote control worked instantly over the whole length of my living room (about 8 metres) and I am sure it goes much much further so has a great range. There was an addtional feature that was not mentioned on the description. The remote has a button called MODE which when pressed makes the fan alternate between low and medium speeds every 5 or 10 seconds for those evenings where it is nice getting a light breeze then a more stiff one...neat!. There are also 3 LED lights on the fan itself to indicate whether you have the timer on 60,120 or 240 minutes. I would also point out that the fan is very powerful but also very quiet compared to my old one which is now over the local dump. I would definitely recommend this product and a bargain at £34.99!.

Excellent Fan, sturdy and quiet and good features.
I am very pleased with this fan as it replaces a rather noisy Pedestal fan in our bedroom with the usual perilous metal cross legged floor support. This fan has a neat round base perfectly adequate for stability and no danger of tripping over. It is fairly light to but very good strong construction and made by Lloytron as that is how it is 'badged' on the fan shield. Neat little remote control which can be clipped on the back of the fan for storage or when not in use. Range of remote control is excellent as it even worked when not pointed at fan, very unusual but good idea. Also like the 'Mode' setting on remote control that gives a 'breeze' effect alternating the fan from medium speed down to low speed. I'm a disable person so wanted a fan with remote control and tried others but remotes and stability let them down but this one ticks all the checkboxes and I can highly recommend it. One oversight on the part of the manufacturer is the fact that one needs a 'philips' type screwdrive to assemble base to upright pole and it might have been a good idea if the manufacturer had supplied a lightweight tool to assemble base just in case one does not own a 'philips' screwdriver. Apart from that I can only again highly recommend it and I've tried several fans far more expensive than this model which is far superior in quality and style. I give it 10 out of 10 for quality.
