About the Author
Dr Andrew Lockie, MB, CHb, MRCGP, MFHom, DipObst RCOG, practised as a homeopath for 22 years. He was a qualified homeopathic physician and a member of the Royal College of General Practioners and the faculty of Homeopathy. He died in 2004. Dr David Owen, MB, BS, MRCS, LRCP, FFHom has been in full-time homeopathic practice for 20 years.

Disappointing
I bought this book having completed a basic homeopathy course. I was hoping that this would be the only book I needed to buy. Unfortunately I am a bit disappointed by it and end up referring to my notes from the course rather than looking in the book. It is nicely illustrated and good for looking at the varying remedies - but if you are looking for a remedy for an illness, I don't find it that useful or easy to use.

Easy to use and comprehensive beginner's guide
I found this very useful as an introduction to homeopathy. It explains the history and basics of the practice and explains the major remedies comprehensively. It also gives a treatment guide for minor remedies which is very useful. It explains how more major problems could be treated by homeopathy but doesn't give treatment paths instead it suggests you go to a homeopathic doctor. Therefore this is a very good reference for at home treatment of minor illnesses but for professional practioners or those looking to treat a major ailment this probably wouldn't be the book for you.
