    Almost perfect4
I had spent a fair amount of time researching treadmills before I made my purchase. I knew I needed to get one as there was no chance of getting myself down to a gym and I needed to try and get fit and lose some weight at the same time. I chose the T960 for a few reasons really. Firstly I had to go for a machine that could take my weight and with this having a top end weight limit of 19.5 stone, it just about manages it. I also wanted a machine with a comfortable sized running track and this was ideal.

As a treadmill I cannot really find any major fault. It does what it says on the tin. It has a very easy to use control panel and a number of programmes that I swear are designed to kill, but then that is me being unfit. The deck folds up nice and easy too which is a brucie bonus.

Now for my criticisms. If you are getting this and assembling it on your own, you may have some difficulty. It took me quite some time to get all the bolts and screws in with holes that didn't seem big enough but with a lot of persistence and a little swearing, I finally got it all together. It doesn't help that it is rather heavy too. That is a minor inconvenience as hopefully you only have to do it the once.

I wouldn't describe this bit of kit as the most maneuverable in the world, it has wheels but you need a pretty big turning circle so I am finding it easier to leave it where it is rather than struggling to move it at all. If you happen to have a smooth floor and a gym to store this in, you may find it easier to move around.

While in motion I have but 2 critiques. Firstly I almost died when the emergency stop tag came off while I was trying to jog and the treadmill stopped suddenly. At least I know it works but it would be nicer for it to slow and then stop rather than just jerk stop (I did laugh about it though).

Finally I have to question the wisdom of the designers who put handles on this piece of equipment that are too low to comfortably hold onto while in motion. I find I have to stoop over to hold onto the handles which makes jogging or a brisk walk a bit difficult. Then if you decide to go for an inclined walk or jog you have no hope of supporting yourself with the handles as you move up, they stay where they were and all too low. If only these could be moved up 6 - 10 inches or so or even be adjustable to fit the user.

Overall I am happy with this treadmill, I just wish the handles were more user friendly.

    Great treadmill5
I bought this treadmill after researching many others. I was looking for one that had a larger than normal running surface. This one is slightly bigger than many others I found, yet still was at a reasonable price. It was a steal considering it inclines up to 10% and has a run speed of 10mph.

My only cons are that the interface could possibly use a time per 500m readout so you know how far you can go at what speed. Also, I paid £30 for the "white glove" delivery, and as was described, expected the delivery guys to ask what room I'd like the machine in, then set it up for me, however, they left the boxes in the hallway and promptly...left. My advice is, bring a friend because the main box is extremely heavy. When you get everything out of the boxes and clear the clutter away, it's surprisingly simple to build. All the tools are supplied, and once the minimal setup is complete, you can just plug it in and go! You can save some space by folding it up too.

    I'd recommend it!
