Customer Reviews
A rarity- an astrology book of real substance.
The Handbook is without doubt the best all-in-one text you can buy for chart erection, aspects, signs and houses, with much 'hard' detail and very little psychobabble. It assumes you believe in Karma and reincarnation, which you may or may not, but don't let this distract you: it can be a little 'wooden' in style, but you'll keep coming back to this book time and time again because it is so comprehensive- and because most of the competition isn't. Together with Ebertin, Carter and Pelletier it should be on every serious astrologer's shelf.
Novice or expert - an excellent chart interpretation guide
I've just ordered another copy of this book because the first, which I bought when I began studying astrology nearly a quarter of a century ago, has been used so much, it's disintegrated! For the novice or the experienced astrologer, if you buy just one book to help with chart interpretation, make it this one.
Subtle and Mature, this book reflects wisdom
I agree with the other reviewers I read. I first bought this book in 1973, the year it was first published, and it has been consistently accurate in the general forecast for the past 26 years (the slow moving planet influences on generational and world systems). I have found the demeanor in the writing to reflect a certain wisdom and respect for both the reader and the information presented.
