Average customer review:Product Description
The Tail End System is a new way of finding long-priced winners - 'outsiders' - in Jumps racing. The system is based on simple straight forward logic coupled with factual information related to a horse's form and level of ability as published by the "Racing Post". Author Ross Newton has over 25 years experience as a punter on Jumps racing, and his system has been successful since 2001. It is not complicated betting strategy - once the rules are learnt it only needs ten minutes study of each race in the "Racing Post", so will appeal to small stakes punters as well as high-rollers.

Is This A System
It is beyond me how this publication can be called a system. If deep form study is a system then I suppose it can. There are no gems of wisdom contained therein and only a few snippets of value. There is no indication either of how the author made his profit over the last few years. The are a great many pages devoted to his selection process which is based on information in The Racing Post. All the winners are in the Racing Post in some shape or form if you look hard enough for the relevant information. This is what this book sets out to do but the reasons for selection of several horses in one race defies logic. I have made these points to the publisher which states that a lawyer would be able to prove that this is a system but has offered me my money back. I operate a very successful system which I could describe on a one sided sheet of A4 without going into the gobbledegook contained in this publication. There is a tiny bit of information which may be of some benefit so I will not return it for refund. Overall opinion - almost useless

If you read the review in today's Racing Post, you will see that The Tail End System has much to offer in term's of betting advice. A system that can pick out a long-priced winner, like Heathcote at 50-1 in the Totesport Trophy, gets my vote.
Too much of a lottery and too much work involved.
I can see where the author of this book is coming from with this system, but to me it's too much of a lottery to follow. There are far better systems out there that work and will get you more money. Take a look at Turner's winning ways.
