Manufacturer's Description
A young French-American girl is in a cab on her way to the city. She just got hired as an assistant to a veterinarian. Unfortunately her cab breaks down in the middle of nowhere, and it’s dark. Our young heroine searches for a place to stay and finds a small village not far away.
There, she meets a young boy that provides her shelter for the night. In return he asks her to help his mare give birth. After, she learns that the landlord of the ranch has disappeared in strange circumstances.

Pretty good...
I thought this game was great it was really fun to be able to groom your horses and ride them in the country and compete. Most people who have written reviews say they have the other games aswell, I have completed this one quite a few times now (in all the different senarios) and could do with a change if somebody could suggest another games that they have enjoyed that would be helpfull. =]
Questions concerning the competition
I bought the game Secret of the Ranch for my daughter. They mention that there is a competition that is organized on Wednesdays and Saturdays. My question is how can we participate.
Look forward to your answer and thanks for your help.

brilliant
i have all the pippa funnell games and absolutely love them. they are by far the best horse games around at the moment. this 4th game worked on my windows xp perfectly. there are several ending depending on the choices you choose throughout the game. for eg the apartment you choose to live in has clues in the game. you can choose and horses to bring on and sell. the competitions are good but i dont like the dressage- you have to alternate between using the arrows and then the screen zooms out and you have to watch the markers and remember the next movement and and then the markers disappear. its all a bit slow for me but once you have got into the game you can choose whether to do the competitions each week so i only ever did the sj and xc comps! however dont let this put you off everything else makes up for it. i love the storylines and the characters-some are the same as the last 2 games. i was addicted from the start!
