laborius to set up and slow in operation, have gone back to using my headset. Didnt add anything to the process of making a skype call either technicaly or practicaly

Only minimally compatible with Skype 4.0.0.2262
As a microphone and earphone it works well, but it won't dial from the handpiece, or close the call. As a result you cant work phone menu systems where you have to tap in a number, which is frustrating.

As far as I know this is the latest version of Skype so presumably it is the phone which is obsolete.

Just set myself up with Skype and it is fast becoming my number one business communication software so wanted a handset that was cheap and portable. This handset is really good and could be used by anyone I would think. My only moan is that the USB cable is too short but I am using a PC sitting on the floor. This aside there are no other issues with the phone and the the cable/USB plug wraps around the handset nicely for transporting in the decent carry case included. Really recommend this for getting started with VOIP calling.
