Nice, but no redial function
I like this phone. The aluminium case and buttons give it a quality feel, and sound quality is good.

But it does not, despite listing them in the description, have last number redial or a redial list.

There is an "R" button on the keypad, but all this does is print "R" on the display when you press it, or "H" if you hold it down.

There are no instructions in its manual about redial or the "R" button, but there is a reference to redial on page 24:

"Copy a number from Caller ID memory and Redial list to the Phone book

1. When a desired number is shown while reviewing caller ID memory or redial list, push..."

I suspect that they did not get round to implementing this feature, and I find that annoying!

Great visual design, bad functional design, bad build quality
I bought this phone, and a further 3 DECT cordless extension phones, in 2006. One phone broke down after 6 months, and all 3 others had their display fail within a year thereafter. The 1st phone was replaced under the warranty, the next ones fell outside the warranty period.

Jakob Jensen designs great phones - stylish as a wall hung fixture. However, the keyboard on the inside has the green/red call cutoff button right next to your ear. So during calls, you can't press the phone hard against your ear or wedge it with your cheek for fear of cutting off your call. Happened to me all the time and got me very frustrated. The call barring function for babies is trivial and easily overcome by my 1 year old toddler. Nil points for functional design.

Build quality is atrocious (see comments above on display screen). Phones can be fitted reversely onto charger without allowing charging. Chargers require that phone is fitted just right, 1mm out here or there and it won't charge. If your phone drops, the back casing dislodges quite easily thus leading misalignment on your charger (i.e no charging).

Casing is plastic and goes off easily.
Contrary to another reviewr, I did find the Redial Button (2 circles in Venn diagram formation) and the phone retains 10 numbers. No 1 button redial function, though.

All in all, great style but severely let down by bad quality of buold and inexistent ergonmic/user functional design. An expensive waste of money.
