Setting up was hard to do --
On taking delivery, I had severe problems setting up. Something was radically wrong as I could not insert the paper tray. It was returned, fixed and, happily, re-returned within one week. Now works satisfactory. My previous Brother (DCP 117) photocopying was simpler to use. Agitation sets in when too much logic has to be applied for a simple operation; like - enlarge 1 copy - simple - no. Overcomplicated. Otherwise this printer is good value for money and I am pleased with the end results.

Great printer
My pevious printer was an HP which gave up the ghost after 15 months, continually lost its driver and even the helpdesk couldn't fix it.
The Brother DCP145C worked straight out of the box.
Prints are excellent and fast.
Copying is computer free, again good copies
Scanning to file and for editing far better than my previous machines.

The ink cartridges are all separate, (4), making changing easier, and they are on the front of the machine inside a small door.

You can also have the printer 'talk' to you when something is wrong, i.e. ink low, no paper fed, door open etc.

I'd certainly buy again, well worth the money.

Best Value Printer on the Market
The DCP-165C prints good quality and excellent photos and graphics, I could not get over the fact that the ink seems to last forever, and are the cheepest to buy on the market. There are many more gadget driven printers out there from some of the biggest makers but at the end of the day it's how much it costs to print, and "THIS IS THE BEST VALUE PRINTING FOR QUALITY AND COST" hands down. So do yourself and your pocket a favour and buy this printer "you will not regret it. The price of the cartridges on Amazon are fantastic and I have printed hundreds of A4 photos and graphic for next to nothing. Brother are the BEST BUY on the market.
