Amazon.co.uk Review
The Honeymoon return to whisk us away with a full-length album, Dialogue, having already tempted us with their excellent Passive Aggressive EP. They straddle the extremely fine line between credible home-made folk-rock and Corrs'-style pop confectionary. Despite being a principally acoustic album, the layer of production sheen that coats the otherwise gentle songs is undoubtedly a bonus as the muscular sound complements the songs wonderfully. The perfect vocals of Icelandic female singer Thorun Magnusdottir, (occasionally supplanted or augmented by songwriter/ guitarist Wayne Murray) certainly help their cause, and it appears that they may be one of those rare bands that can be heard by everyone. The use of differing instrumentation (the rare use of a svarmandal is a welcome treat in "Chaos Theory") will appeal to those looking for something different, as will the combined vocal harmony--part Gram and Emmylou, part pop perfection. Meanwhile the songs are strong enough to appeal to the casual listener; there's enough commercial appeal to make hits out of "Stay All Night" and "Reconcile" at the very least. --Thom Allott
CD Description
Debut album by the duo of Icelandic singer Thorrun Magnusdottir and Hackney-born songwriter Wayne Murray. Their chilled-out sound, mixing traditional pop songwriting, acoustic instruments, trip-hop style beats and studio effects, has been compared to the likes of early Fleetwood Mac, The Carpenters, Mazzy Star and Belle & Sebastian. Produced by Badly Drawn Boy producers Away Team, it includes the singles 'Passive Aggressive' and 'Truth Hurts'.

BUY IT NOW!
a fantastic debut album from the honeymoon - not one song is a filler, and this is a perfect dreamy summer album. my favourites are act like you know her, and truth hurts (if anyone remembers 13:thirteen), but the whole album is great.
go and buy "Dialogue" NOW!
this album has been in my cd player constantly since i bought it. thorunn and wayne duet perfectly, and the tracks are all fantastic. a brilliant selection of easy listening summer music which will leave you feeling chilled out, laid back, and happy. my personal favourite is the slower "act like you know her", but there is not one song on here which i feel like skipping past. a great debut album.
Dream on
I love this album and I'm still only on my 1st few listens. Its fantastically dreamy and is superb if you just need a gorgeous piece of music to wash over you while your having dinner, being ill in bed, soakin' in the bath, walkin' the dog, having a hangover ... I could go on forever.... very impressed.
It'll never get to No1 but its one of them albums that...
(a) you can tell yer mates about it and be chuffed that they've never heard of it...
(b) you've got it in your CD rack before them.
Its as good as Frou Frou's Details album, if not better.... (oh... haven't you heard of them... hehehe)
