I absolutely love this book - amazing portait of of the Hebrides in he 50's - for me these are some of Paul Strands best phtographs - and least well known - I have purchased foour or five copies of this book for friends.

TIR A'MHURAIN 1
I purchased this book called TIR A'MHURAIN as my eldery father's photo is in it as a young man from South Uist and wanted it to give him as a gift- and was shocked to see that they had called him MacLellan instead of MacLean. This is a definite proof error as have seen a German First Copy and his details are correct. I e-mailed the Printers 'Aperture Foundation' and got an apology and said that the next time there was a re-issue would be corrected-ignored my request for a replacement-so be aware of this. I do not know if there are any other errors in it as have still to check this out-Totally disgusted with their service. If all the details are correct there are some stunning photos in it-great photography.
