Product Description

Edward de Bono, the leading pioneer in the direct teaching of thinking, and with over twenty-five years experience at all levels (from eight-year-olds to senior executives) shows in a simple and practical way how a parent can develop the thinking skills of his or her children so as to give them a better chance in life. Many highly intelligent people are articulate but poor thinkers. Argument and critical thinking are not enough. Today's world demands clear and constructive thinking; the ability to make decisions and choices; to design and plan initiatives; and be creative.

Great Fun. You really need to concentrate on thinking!5
This is not a book to skim or scan, you do need to concentrate it is not an easy read. Get a good pair of glasses, ear plugs, note paper and pencil and the results are mind-blowing. All 4 of my children are enjoying the simple-to-follow exercises. Keep them coming.

Get a De Bono overview5
Unlike many of Edwards other books this is a real workbook - and you many be surpriced to see that thinking is so hard!

While the tools look simpel it may well take some years to master some of them.

Teach you child to think give you what you need to get started, but do not expect to become a master thinker over night - or in five days. The book gives you an overview of the methods and tools and leaves the thinking to you. I hope you and your kids enjoy reading this - I am looking forward to teach my child to use the method like I have already done with myself and quite a few adults.

Diffcult to read and not simple to follow1
I bought this book as I am keen reader of De Bono, Gelb, Buzan, and Handy. Teaching my child mindmapping, lateral thinking techniques will help at school and I thought this book would help me solidify my thoughts on how to best teach these techniques to my daughter but this book was hard to read and even harder to comprehend what De Bono was trying to push forward. Sorry Edward !!!
