The Lupita dog bowl (2002) had already received a princely treatment. We could wait no longer to re-establish a fair equality with the feline world. The Tigrito Bowl was in high demand by lovers of the other half of the pet world. Using the same designer, Miriam Mirri, and the same delicately playful approach, we added a new item to the collection of articles dedicated to our animal friends. As in previous cases, part of the proceeds from the sale of the Tigrito bowl will be given to an organisation for the protection of animals, in this case, GAIA Animali e Ambiente.

Born in Bologna in 1964, Miriam Mirri lives and works in Milan. After graduating at the Superior School for Anatomic Design and Studied Communication and Design in Reggio Emilia (where she teaches today), she has worked in London with Nigel Coates and has been assistant to Stefano Giovannoni for many years. Her feminine soul brought to Alessi's products a kind of lovely, delicate, yet ironic spirit.

Novel but high quality
Often novelty products although appealing in concept are poorly executed -this dish is an exception. It is very well made and seems durable - the two stainless steel dishes are sturdy and just the right size for our two young cats. The main body is also well crafted and the extended tail of the "cat" makes the dish very easy to pick up and keep clean. Overall, a very good quality and novel but practical product. Recommended.

The fab cat bowl
Yes, this is a little expensive for a cat bowl but it is fabulous. I can add very little to the previous reviewers comments; it is easy to live with, easy to clean, and still gives me a smile lifting it up by the tail (sad but true!)

Purrrrrfect Present
This is one of the greatest cat bowls you will ever see. It has two stainless steel bowls which you can remove and watch individually which makes life a LOT easier. The great design not only looks cool but is really handy, the tail can be used as an easy way to pick up the bowl without breaking your back! so if you suffer from back pains then this is the bowl for you...looks great in your kitchen and worth every penny!
