Genius....
Ignore the jealous cockney, what a season this was for all United fans young and old.
From Welbeck's special against Stoke to Kiko's last minute winner against Villa it truly was a monumental season capped off with a last day victory victory at the KC. A must for all United fans.
Manchester United 2008/2009 Season Review
It's been a while since Manchester United had a quiet season, and the year 2008 saw Manchester United topped off as World Club Champions. New players such as Dimitar Berbatov added to a host of magnificent Manchester United players, as Crisitano Ronaldo stayed on after specualtion in the summer of a move to Real Madrid, score his 100th goal
Edwin Van Der Sar and the United defence set new defensive records, holding out 14 consecutive clean sheets. United also thrashed Chelsea at Old Trafford, and got revenge by doing the double over Man City.
New blood came through as United's youngsters helped reach and win the 2009 Carling Cup, and the depth of the squad managed to retain the Premier League trophy for a 3rd time, twice in their history.
The Champions League campaign saw United do the undone by beating FC Porto on their own turf, which no English club has done before. Also United destroyed Arsenal over 2 legs to reach the final. But retaining the Champions League remained football hardest accomplishment, as Barcelona proved to be a step too far to overhaul, as United lost out in the final.
But otherwise, the 2008/2009 season saw great games such as Aston Villa and Tottenham Hostpur at Old Trafford, and creating news stars, this was a truly great season.
Extras include Premier League trophy celebrations. A great DVD.
Unbeatable
As a United supporter this is unbeatable - like Van der Saar in his record breaking spell of not conceding a goal!
