Brilliant5
This is what the marvel universe needed, a story to change everything and add some direction to some lesser known characters. Not to mention culling a few characters. The art throughout is superb, and it is all by the same artist which adds to the consistancy of the story. A couple of major events happen within this book, but the ramifications are dealt with in the individual comic books. This book carries the main story where as the other books fill in the detail. An essential read for all moarvelites.

Excellent but not amazing.4
An act is passed by the American Government intended to force all heroes into disclosing their secret identities to the Government as well as becoming their Agents. This divides the hero community down the middle and ultimately leads to a "war" between those who oppose the act and those that are in favour of the act.
The story is well told and the artwork is of a high standard. However aspects of the story left me slightly disapointed. I wasn't keen on some of the so called heroes being so cruel to former allies and teammates. Conversely the fight scenes are excellent and it is fascinating seeing the heroes fall out with eachother.
Generally a really good read but not as good as it could have been.

Civil War by Mark Millar4
Hmmm...this story had both giood points and bad. Overall i would have to say that this book is amazing and would recommend it to any comic book fan. The story is gripping, the art is amazing and the ending is unexpected but certainly has a wow factor to it. Bad points however would be the fact tha Civil War as a whole was a disappointing as the tie in issues failed o deliver what this very book did and instead just seemed a cash in by Marvel as they added little to the overall story.

Yes, Civil War as a whole couldhave been handled better. This book though is pretty flawless. The events in the Marvel Universe at the moment are not doing this book justice and that may leave some feeling disappointed but regardless, sit down and read this and you will be blown away as the Marvel Universe takes a step closer to realism.
