Product Description

Chronicling the final days of the Green Goliath! Peter David and Dale Keown, creative team on some of the Hulk's most memorable tales, reunite to produce this searing vision of the future in which Bruce Banner, the Incredible Hulk, is the last man on Earth. It's the Hulk's final battle, as "The Last Titan" wrestles his inner-demons in order to discover his place in a dying world - if only he can survive! Plus: The testing of the first Gamma Bomb thrust upon Robert Bruce Banner that which he would come to believe would be his greatest nightmare: his unwilling transformation into the Incredible Hulk. He believed wrong. Now, having been dragged into the future - into a post-holocaust, dystopian world - Bruce Banner discovers that his nightmare has a whole new name: the Maestro! This is a nightmare that only Hulk can end. For he knows that he himself is responsible for the presence of the evil Maestro. The future, our future, and the Incredible Hulk will never quite be the same, courtesy of Peter David and George Perez. And neither will you! Collecting Incredible Hulk: The End and Incredible Hulk: Future Imperfect #1-2.

Second only to Planet Hulk/WWH!!!4
Since first picking up 'Hulk: Planet Hulk, i was hooked on the hulk again, this next to Planet Hulk and World War Hulk is my favourite Hulk TPB..

The book consists of two story-arcs "Future Imperfect" and "The End". After flipping through the first few pages of the first story; Future Imperfect, i was taken aback as the more simple, older artwork than is seen today, it is evident that this comic is perhaps more than a decade old, I didn't warm to the art straight away, but as the story progressed i found both the story and art fit together well and immensely enjoyed the book.

Next was "The End" which is a short story chronicling the last days of the two last beings on earth, time-sharing their bodily existence between the two-hundred year-old Bruce Banner and the Hulk, The art of this book is perfect, and the story, a mental battle between Banner who wishes to end is lonesome torment and the hulk who relishes being the strongest their is and finally being left alone.

Similarity4
I use the word similarity because of my feelings about this novel being so similar to "phoenixflames" review...most enjoyable!

comics4
Not as good as I thought it would be,but still most entertaining.
