The book is a total loss for your money
Not only he tries to sell his other lousy books, he does a very poor job explaining his puzzling patented technique of noting harmonica notes. So you make it through half of the book and you're stuck because you have no idea how to play stuff written down, while the guy is bragging about him hanging out with the masters of harp and sells you stupid jokes. For a better guide, look somewhere else.

Not Bad
Well I am a beginner with the harmonica and I have not got on well with it in the past. However this book is nice and easy to use and follow. He even goes so far as to put a summary of the important points in to boxes so that you do not feel you have to read the whole thing, which would be rather tiring. The only irritation I have is the fact that he keeps on trying to 'sell' us his other books, although he assures us he is not. This is a little irritating, after all what is a suggested further reading page for? He also does not go in to any death about what actual note you are playing, thus it can be a bit hard to move on to sheet music. But as a starter it is a good book.
