Play the Leningrad!
I'm a frequent tournament player (170 bcf or 2070 fide) and I've played the Leningrad dutch for a couple of years but up till now I've usually chickened out a bit in the main lines (going for more dodgy sidelines) as it all seemed a bit too complex (and weird!). However this book has changed all that. I think Kindermann does a great job in explaning these critical lines, while backing up his words with loads of original and interesting analysis. In addition his coverage of all the sidelines gave me a lot of new ideas. Another thing I liked, apart from the quality, was that, unlike most repertoire books I've seen, he often gives coverage of more than one line that black can try (so players can pick depending on mood, style or if in the future problems develop in a line they can revert to the other).
It compares favourably to other books on the subject, most notably Beim's "Understanding the Leningrad Dutch" as Kindermann (while giving Beim's work a lot of respect) refers often to his analysis showing improvements and how theory has developed since it was published (2003 I think).
The things that I can see putting people off is that it's quite dense and the layout isn't great compared to the Gambit books. However I've always thought that more analysis is good (assuming it's of good quality) as if you don't like it you can just ignore it while if you want it (or need it) you can use it!....regards to the layout I guess you've just got to put up with it...it's worth it.
If you either play, are tempted to play, or play against the dutch I highly recommended you get this book, I can't see it being superseeded for a long time yet.....(unless he brings out another edition!)
