Engaging, funny and enjoyed by all the family
This was a real hit. I purchased it before driving to France for our holiday and it was popular with the whole family (children and parents). It's a simple but clever story which had the children hooting with laughter. It was especially enjoyed by the girls but our son and parents were happy to listen and enjoy the anticts of Princess Mirror-Belle. This was an unusual and welcome story for us bridging the gap with our youngets daughter,d, who needed a simpler plot, and older children who enjoy a cheeky and naughty heroine.

Even the youngest could identify with the situations Princess Mirror-Belle was placed in and whilst some made you squirm, they never had a mean streak to them.

Finally June Whitfield's reading felt fresh and just right for the story. So I plan to give this as a birthday present for some of the children's friends.

Laugh out loud funny bed time reading for children and adults
This is a fabulous book. Like the Horrid Henry books, a parent can find him or herself laughing out loud while reading.

My six year old daughter loves it, and as a result has suddenly become aware of authors - proclaiming 'Julia Donaldson is my favourite author'.

Mirror-belle is naughty enough to tickle a youngsters sense of fun, but not too naughty.

fantastic book for girls
I really enjoyed this book about a girl who has chicken pox and looks in the mirror and she finds out that her reflection starts to move in a different way to her, one of my favourite bits was when Ellen's big brother was doing the performance of snow white and princess mirror belle jumped out of the mirror and put on an extra dwarf costume and started pretending to be a dwarf and she was acting silly and saying all the wrong words and they had to put the show off and then the next day in the papers there was a review about the show that said it was very good and Ellen thought Mirror belle was spoiling it but they said she was very funny in the show.
