Product Description

This is the life story of psychic and clairvoyant, Mia Dolan, one of the UK's most eminent psychics. An ordinary woman brought up in a working-class family, she was raped at the age of 12 and this terrible experience marked the first of her out-of-body experiences. At the age of 22 her spirit guide began to talk to her and showed her how to use her clairvoyance as well as providing insights into the nature of the afterlife. In addition to the psychic events that unfold, the book describes Mia's most unusual and intriguing readings: predictions she made for "The Sun" and "The Daily Mirror" about Princess Diana and her experiences at the scenes of the deaths of Jill Dando and Rachel Nickell for "The Daily Mail". The book recounts her activities as a "ghostbuster" and exorcist, and includes stories of a haunted inn, the Drury Lane Theatre in London, a haunted theme park, and sightings of earth-bound spirits - both good and bad.

Editorial Reviews

Review
Although her family did not have much money, Mia - Marie Elisabeth - Dolan and her brothers Jed and Peter had a happy, loving home. Yet, by the end of her teens Mia has had some horrific experiences and has made some bad choices, particularly where men are concerned. There have already been some hints, though, that she has an unusual power; then, struggling to survive in an unhappy marriage to a violent and unpredictable husband, strange things start happening in her home; objects change position, lights go on and off, and she wonders if she's going mad when she thinks she hears a voice which predicts the future. A terrible vision of a plane crash is confirmed when it happens as she imagined it. Her search for an explanation leads her to a medium who tells her she is hearing her spirit guide. Tentatively she starts to have conversations with him and begins the difficult task of learning how to use her power, to lose her fear and to develop her sixth sense - a sixth sense she says we are all born with. Gradually she starts to help other people. Along the way she makes mistakes and has to accept that what she sees will happen: her clairvoyance cannot prevent it, and her special gift cannot protect those she loves. She gives a moving account of the tragic death of her son and of her feelings of anger and failure, yet eventually she comes to appreciate how precious and important her gift is. Mia Dolan tells an amazing story in a totally matter-of-fact way. Her warmth of character and desire to help others are unmistakable, and her own personal tragedies have given her additional insight into the problems of others; using her gift she can help and heal. From the Author
'I want people to know there is more to life than what we call reality, more than what we can see - and it is not as far beyond our reach as we imagine. It is ordinary, everyday, here and now, in this minute. And it is magical, a gift.'
