I bought this book following a fascinating presentation from Sir Rex Hunt.

The book explores Sir Rex's time in the Falkland Islands from his appointment as governor, through the 1982 invasion, to his returning visits over the following years.

When reading the book you can picture yourself with Sir Rex in the Falkland Islands. Be it on a beach surrounded by extraordinary wildlife or under his desk in Government House with bullets flying over his head. The book goes into more depth than others when looking at the lives and attitudes of the "Islanders" and Sir Rex is more qualified than anyone to tell their story.

The personal touches added to the story of the Falklands War sets this book apart from the many others available.

A great read!
