Disappointing
About half of this is worth watching.... the other half could be edited out with no loss. There is a lot of froth and very little substance. Apart from a really good performance of Queen Victoria by Rosemary Leach, who manages to convey that HM was in fact a real person(!), and a good effort by Dizzy's wife (Mary Peach) to redeem her part, it might as well be a "soap" set in Victorian costume.
We may watch it again - one day in the dim distant future...

Disraeli, in person
This DVD really brought Disraeli to life for me. I have read much about him and feel that the 2nd part absolutely captured him at the peak of his power. Throughly recommended
