A right-out classic. Every episode has moments which will have you rolling over the floor with laughter. Best career performance by John Cleese.

The whole series is excellent, although it tends to repeat itself in later series. Best writing ever done by Richard Croft (of Allo Allo fame). Paul Shane and Jeffrey Holland are glorious.

Lad culture at its best.

Lenny Henry's best-ever performance in a carefully-nurtured little cutie of a series. Series 2 is equally good, although series 3, unfortunately, is a 24-carat stinker.
