Customer Reviews
fantastic
brilliant...went halves with a friend to buy this and have used it two or three times a week since it arrived...it's great, for making 'spur of the moment' ice cream or sorbet...simple to use and easy to clean and wonderful not to have to store any parts in the freezer, especially if you're short of room. The ice cream it makes is of a fabuloous texture and in only twenty minutes you're eating your dreams...keep a jug of sugar syrup ready made in the fridge so you can make sorbets straight from picking the fruit..Mmmmmm.... If youre looking for an ice cream book to go with it, then I recommend Caroline Liddell's 'Ices'...no fancy photographs, but a wealth of recipes and a wonderful history and technology section...
Lavender and White Chocolate Heaven in under 25mins from Magimix®
I decided to treat myself for my 30th birthday! This is the first time I have ever made home-made ice cream. I was inspired to try it myself by the thought that you can be as experimental and unusual as you like, and adjust your milk to cream ratios as you like. I made lavender and white chocolate ice cream as my first batch. In choosing a top-of-the-range ice cream machine, I knew I couldn't go wrong with Magimix® -- as I love and get pleasure from using my "Le Mini Plus" food processor. Magimix® parts are readily available which makes them an attractive brand too. If you are truly serious about quality beautiful ice cream, sherbets, and sorbets, look no further! The instruction booklet is very clearly written, giving some classic recipes for you to try. There is also useful information on preparation, storing, and cleaning. The motor unit has a transparent lid so you can see your ice cream churning in process. The good thing is, you can walk away and leave it to run -- just watch for the motor paddle to change direction -- this is an indicator that the ice cream is at the right consistency; switch the mixing paddle off and just leave the freezer on for 5-10 minutes to keep it at the desired consistency until you pack it in a container to freeze, or serve it. An absolute joy to use, easy to clean, quiet for what it does, and the end result... well it's heaven!

Sorbets like you have never tasted easy to use as expected once you get hooked you need to get yourself a good recipe book but the one that comes with it is okay for starters. Oh and one other thing you have to put a small amount of alcohol inside the two bowls if you want to use the removable smaller one, this is to stop them freezing together (you can use salt water but it warns to be careful with cleaning or else rust!
I am running out of Vodka! (Going to have to get some surgical spirit)
Now thats a thought surgical spirit sorbet!
