Customer Reviews
My fear of flying is now completely gone!
This book is phenomenal. I have been a white-knuckled flyer for over 9 years, and with just one reading of this book, my fear was completely and permanently eliminated. This book is filled with incredible information about every single aspect of flying that you have ever been nervous about. I just went on two recent flights that were EXTREMELY turbulant, filled with all sorts of noises, and other "unusual" stuff -- yet because of this book, I was completely cool, calm, and collected. I was amazed at myself -- I couldn't believe the different person that this book had turned me into. (Thanks to this book, I was even able to SLEEP on the plane -- I don't think I've ever been able to sleep on a plane in my entire life!) In fact, not only did this book eliminate my fear of flying, but I now embrace flying and look forward to future flights. This is a must-read for any person who is afraid of flying.
This book got be back on a plane
I have been flying all my life but in the past two years an irrational fear took hold of me. Twice I have stepped of planes just as the doors were about to be closed. This book, however, reassured me and took away some of the fears and anxieties, especially regarding turbulence which enabled me to start flying again. I recommend it to anyone who has a similar fear, especially in the early stages. If you leave the fear too long and let it grow, the anxiety gets stronger and this book will certainly help. It is easy to read and addresses all the usual fears.
Fear of Flying is Gone
This book was great. I had flown before with white knuckles and sweaty palms, praying the whole time that we would not crash. I read this book from front to back just a few weeks before a five and a half hour flight to Hawaii. I took the book with me on the flight. I was a little nervous after boarding the flight but I got the book out and read the parts explaining take off. I was able to handle take off with out grabbing the arm rest and with in a few minutes I was even able to relax. I thoughly enjoyed the whole flight there and back and I am ready to fly again. This book answered all my questions on how the plane works, what is happening in each stage of the flight and what all the noises are. Thank you very much Duane Brown for freeing me from my fear. I highly recomend this book to anyone who wants to fly but is afraid.
