Customer Reviews

Well illustrated and covers areas I didn't expect4
I'm a fan of the DK Eyewitness series as they (gah I sound like I'm advertising them!) 'show what others describe'. Also they don't waste their time with pages of hotel and restaurant listings that will be out of date by the time they go to press. What is useful is that there are detailed sections on the popular towns and small thumbnails and short descriptions on lesser visited places. Lots of photographs on every page.

I bought this as a guide to Maloposka, the mountain region South(ish) of Krakow and I found it useful. You always want more, but it is still the best guide of those available. It even inspired me to visit Warsaw. I'd heard the capital was a bit of a dump but buying this guide with a (huge, perhaps too long!) section on Warsaw showed me that there was plenty of interest and even some beauty there.

I'm happy to recommend it.
