About the Author
Sandra Lousada made her name as a portrait photographer in the 1960s, and was commissioned to take pictures of Lawrence Olivier, Vanessa Redgrave and David Hockney, amongst others. Her work regularly appeared in Vogue, Queen and Tatler. Having children of her own sparked off a new interest in the field of child photography, and it is this area of her work for which she has become best known in recent years. Sandra also took the beautiful black-and-white photographs for BABY DAY (0 333 90402 8), BABY PLAY (0 333 90399 4), BABY MOVES (0 333 90400 1) and BABY FACES (0 333 90398 6), winner of the Sainsbury's Baby Book Award 2001.

Good for babies
`This Little Baby' is a fun book for babies and their parents. It is a lovely rhyme which has a repetition of this little baby at the start of each page. After one short sentence there is a picture of a baby doing that and at the end there is something that is a little bit different because instead of having a photo of another little baby there is a mirror so your little one can see themselves! How exciting for them, this book I can guarantee that your child will smile and laugh! I would defiantly recommend `This Little Baby' to any mum or dad of a 0 - 18 month child.

10 month old's favourite book!
My daughter really loves this book, and she's only 10 months old. I think that it is the photographs she loves, as they are "real" babies. Most babies love looking at other babies and older children, and this book is full of them. Of course the best bit is on the last page, where it say "this little baby is the one I love best" and there is a mirror, in which the baby can see his/herself. My daughter likes to hold the book up close and look at herself in the mirror! I really loved this book and am trying to find some more that are similar.

Best book I've bought so far
This is the best book I've bought for my son so far! I bought it for him when he was 6 months old and it has been a hit with him since. He loves the pictures of real babies and likes to hold the book to his face and "kiss" the babies - particularly the little one making lots of noise. And the mirror at the end of the book never fails to excite him. He's 10months old now and still loves this book.

The colours on the pages are good with contrasting bubbles which attract little one's attention too. And the words are everyday words that baby will soon learn. I think this book will be useful when a child first starts reading too.

I couldn't recommend it more highly.
