A perfectly matched combination of FREQUENCEY subwoofers and FLI LOADED amplifiers. A brand new concept in enclosure design - a totally acoustic friendly environment has been created for the FLI woofer - a large curved top is formed and tapered down to its base which offers a perfect acoustic channel that automatically deletes enclosure resonance. The baffle boards at each end of the enclosure are angled forming a double wedge design that offers increased pressures inside the tunnel, maximising bass output. Overall the new FLI design offers a very compact bass system with integrated 800W amplifier that is capable of generating tighter, deeper, bigger bass than conventional enclosure designs.

Fantastic VFM
First off, this is not a large sub; it's small enough to go in the boot of my Ford Ka and leaves more than half of the boot free to use for, well, things!
As you've probably gathered it's a sealed 10" sub. The enclosure has been designed with no parallel sides, and a large curved top - this pretty well eliminates internal standing waves and gives a very clean frequency response. The enclosure is very well sealed and fabricated, and has a nice solid feel to it.
The driver itself seems pretty well made - the frame is pressed as opposed to cast, but what can you expect at this price? A vented pole piece keeps the voice coil cool, and a nice wide rubber surround means that excursion isn't prematurely limited. Also the surface of the woofer has a dimpled effect like a golf ball, which presumably reduces turbulence - I doubt this makes any difference to how the sub performs, but it looks good and the cone is nice and stiff.
The amp has proved surprisingly capable, with 250w RMS into 4 ohms it's more than able to make this sub bump. It's the same amp that Fli uses in the 12" active trap, so the amp is actually put to better use in this sub.
The overall fit and finish of this sub is superb, especially for the price tag. The fact that it comes with a wiring kit and everything needed to install it just seals the deal for me.

In short, if you're thinking of buying this sub and didn't understand any of the stuff I was talking about back there, buy it. Don't buy this sub for one-note boomy bass to annoy the neighbours though; you'll be disappointed. The bass that comes out of this little box of tricks is musical, tight, clean, punchy and so deep it belies it's size. It's a cracking product, so well done to Fli and the chaps at Vibe for designing it!
