Synopsis
This is Derrick Jensen's most ambitious, important and monumental book to date. The companion piece to Derrick Jensen's immensely popular and highly acclaimed works "A Language Older than Words" (Souvenir Press, 2002) and "The Culture of Make Believe" (Context Books, 2000), "Endgame" builds on a series of simple but increasingly provocative premises: for example, "The needs of the natural world are more important than the needs of any economic system" and "The mass of civilized people will never be on our side". Jensen invites readers to imagine a return to agrarian communal life via the disintegration of civilization itself.

Great book
This is a MUST read for everyone! But beware! You'll never see the world same again...
Essential Reading!
This is one of the best and most important books I have read. Jensen states certain premises about our modern industrialized society and then goes on to explain and give examples of their working. It is both uncomfortable and inspiring. I would make this a text book for all schools; it could shake us out of our torpid state.
Brilliant
Derrick Jensen is an incredibly eloquent writer, and considering the serious nature of his work (that our civilization is not only self-destructive but intrinsically by nature based on the domination of the environment and our own selves) a great achievement.
