Another beautiful book from ITNG5
Think what you will about the TV show - the nonsensical rhymes, the irritating songs and the weird scale (personally, I'm a fan but my husband is not!) Andrew Davenport delivers some stunning books for little fans. My son is building up a vast collection of In The Night Garden literature because, no matter how much of a bad mood he's in, he's guaranteed to sit through it!

This is another wonderful offering and once again, has taken a popular concept - the noisy book - and done something different with it. Unlike most sound books which have one button that protrudes through each page, this has a small concealed button inside each page, each of which makes a different noise. So your child won't get bored of hearing the same noise over and over again. Noises include the Ninky Nonk and Pinky Ponk themes, Makka Pakka's trumpet, Upsy Daisy's singing (which is the one thing that may put you off!) and more.

A really lovely book. I also recommend 'What a Noisy Pinky Ponk'.

Funny noise fun4
My brother and sister-in-law bought this for my toddler son who's a huge fan of ITNG. Basically it's a board book with buttons on each page to signify the specific character's trademark sound - i.e. Makka Pakka's trumpet, The Ninky Nonk's clanging and the Pinky Ponk's flatulence! My son adores it and loves to hand it to myself or my husband several times a day in order for us to share it with him. He does sometimes get a little too impatient to turn over when the longer duration sounds are playing (Ninky Nonk etc) but that doesn't detract from his enjoyment. I liked the fact that there was a 'spot the Pontipine' element to the story but thought it was a little too short, that said, it's good fun for toddlers to enjoy connecting the sounds and pictures and I would recommend this for any young ITNG fan.

Buttons tricky, but 2 year olds love the book3
My 19 month old daughter loves ITNG, and so we humoured her by getting this book. It is big, sturdy, and relatively toddler-proof, but the buttons are difficult for her to operate. The sounds are very true to the show, but the Pinky Ponk noise goes on for far longer than her interest. She loves pointing out every single Pontypine; they are 'hidden' round the pages. She is frustrated when she reaches the last page; because it is extra thick to accommodate the sound unit, she thinks there are more pages there and keeps trying to open them! Fun, but does not hold her attention for as long as many books.
