Customer Reviews

One of the best of the ITNG DVDs5
As the owner of all the ITNG dvds except the newest on (Isn't that a pip), I can honestly say this is one of my favorites. The other two I really like are Who's Here and Hello Iggle Piggle. The episodes these three DVDs feature are not annoying screeching ones (like the Upsy Daisy DVD), and seem to hold my daughter's interest better. She gets to choose which she watches and it's usually one of these three DVDs that she chooses. Makka Pakka is her favorite character, so I've seen this particular DVD more times than I care to remember. Yet, it still doesn't drive me nuts. To me, that's a good sign!

Macca Pakka Wakka Bakka5
My eighteen-month-old son absolutely loves this programme and like other children, likes to stand a few inches away from the set and poke it at various intervals. It's an ingenious creation of Anne 'Tellytubbies' Wood and Andrew Davenport and seeks to calm children down ready for sleep and as a result, tries to create a dreamlike world where the various characters go about their daily business.

Personally, I'm a huge Makka Pakka fan - he's the smallest 'main' character, lives in a cave, loves collecting stones and washing faces and objects with the help of his push along 'Og Pog', sponge and 'Uff Uff', a bellows type thing. He looks very cuddly and has three Walnut Whip type protuberances emanating from his head. There are five episodes on this DVD, one more general one and four with the emphasis on Macca Pakka's adventures. There's a special feature at the end that a parent can choose to select one of the stars at the end and spend some quiet time with your child whilst watching Iggle Piggle drift away on his boat. An excellent series and recommended to all parents/grandparents/carers etc.

In the Night Garden3
Alright - I wish I had had my daughter watch it more on telly before I bought it though as she is quite scared of some of the characters in it.
