All the features of the iPod nano now come in an even more compact form ? with video functions to boot!Apple proudly presents the new and improved version of its nano player: the iPod nano, with a bold new design and a larger, brighter colour screen ? but that?s not all!The iPod nano offers a video function for viewing your favourite films in exceptional quality thanks to its unprecedented pixel count (204 dpi instead of 163 dpi for earlier Apple models). And the iPod nano continues to push the envelope for multimedia entertainment, with the ability to play video Podcasts!Even the interface has been modified to make it even more user-friendly and intuitive. The Cover Flow function, for example, displays the album cover of all the music titles stored in the player?s memory, so you can flip through your music library and find your favourite tracks quickly and easily. You?ll even be able to download games onto your iPod nano to serve as a distraction during those long commutes. It has a range of basic functional features, including a calendar, international clock and a stopwatch, too!But what is more astounding than all these features is the fact that the iPod nano is even more compact than its predecessors! But have no fear - its anodized aluminium and stainless steel body reflects the same stylish design that Apple iPods are known for, and the sound quality is still as amazing as ever! Let yourself go, with the iPod nano!

display, ever. iPod nano stirs up visual effects from the outside in.
And it’ll wow you for hours. Play up to 5 hours of video or up to 24 hours of audio on a single charge (1). All that staying power and a wafer-thin, 6.5-mm profile makes iPod nano one small big attraction.
Cover Flow
If a picture says a thousand words, think of what all the album art in your collection might say. With Cover Flow on iPod nano, you can flip through your music to find the album you want to hear. Use the Click Wheel to browse music by album cover, then select an album to flip it over and see the track list.
Music
Use the Click Wheel to adjust volume, navigate songs, browse in Cover Flow, or explore the Music menu by playlist, artist, album, song, genre, composer, and more. Want to mix things up? Click Shuffle Songs. iPod nano makes your music look as good as it sounds, thanks to its bright colour display.
Movies
Buy movies from the iTunes Store and you can sync them to your iPod nano to watch anywhere, anytime. Up to 5 hours of video playback means you can watch two movies back to back.1 And for your viewing pleasure, the 320-by-240-pixel display â with a whopping 204 pixels per inch â is 65 percent brighter than before.
TV Shows
There’s always something good on iPod nano. Browse thousands of episodes of your favorite TV shows on the iTunes Store, then sync them to your iPod nano. Watch last night’s episodes this morning, or buy a whole TV series and play a pocket-size marathon.
Podcasts
The iTunes Store features thousands of free video and audio podcasts, including indie favorites and offerings from such big names as ABC News, Comedy Central, ESPN, PBS, NPR, and many more. Browse and subscribe to podcasts, then sync them to your iPod nano. You can even play video podcasts on TV using an optional Apple component or composite AV cable.
Audiobooks
The digital shelves of the iTunes Store are stocked with thousands of audiobooks â including exclusives like the entire Harry Potter series â so you can catch up on your reading wherever iPod nano takes you. iPod nano even recognizes where you left off reading and bookmarks your place.
Games
Put hours of fun at your fingertips. iPod nano comes with three games â Vortex, iQuiz, and Klondike â and you can download more from the iTunes Store. All iPod games are designed specifically for the iPod interface. And all of them look great on the 2-inch colour display.
Photos
iPod nano holds up to 7,000 photos you can sync from your Mac or PC via iTunes. Use the Click Wheel to scroll through photo thumbnails. To see a photo full screen, click the center button. PLEASE READ THIS!!!!
after 1 year my little sisters ipods battery died, and apple said they would fix it for £200, i told her she might aswell buy a new one. so she got this nano.
this new ipod nano design is just pathetic, the click wheel is SO small that clicking on the wrong option is a common mistake.
the hold button is in some retarded place and got some retardd shaape that is hard to find let alone use.
the PATHETIC £1 headphones suppied are just garbage. seriously.
you MUST use sucky itunes software to put anything onto the ipod. Itunes is no. 1 retarded piece of software, it is SO LAGGY even on my high spec computer, installed itunes loads up like 4 other processes that just eat away your CPU/Memory and connecting up the ipod just completely kills the program. it literally become unuseable.
it occasionly freezes up and must be "re-flashed" by connecting up to computer, not useful wen ur on the bus.
kinda over priced for what a piece of junk this really is. apple have made no step forward and this product is a pathetic piece of dirt with a fat price tag, just like any pathetic apple product.
HONESTY, if you lookin for a mp4 player, get the sony walkman a818, or creative zen.
SERIOUSLY, i own the sony walkman, and its cheaper, the headphones supplied cost £40 in the shopes
no homo software is needed just drag and drop or windows media player is u like
more battery life
better sound quality
normal navigation system
really, give it chance, read the reviews,
everyone and their dogs are walkin around with a ipod in their pocket and i cant understand why, they suxxxx.
even the zen has a SWEET memory extension where u can upgrade ur memory through SD cards.
iPods SUX
DEAL WITH IT
Worthwhile purchase.
I use this with the nike sports kit when running. I use it to play music when working out. I use it to watch movies when travelling. In one month the iPod has become an integral part of many activities and I'd replace it straight away if it were to disappear.
It might not fit my entire music collection but as long as I am selective the iPod can fit all the music I want. Despite the small size the quality of the picture is excellent. It fits comfortably in my pocket.
I have never had to manage the battery life as it has more than enough to play a film as well as all the music I could want in a day.
It does crash occasionally which is disappointing, hopefully an update will stop that happening.
excellent little player
I bought this as a 43 year old male who had little experience of MP3 players and wanted something to listen to whilst at the gym. Its a great piece of kit, the sound is truly amazing and is ideal for using whilst on the treadmill etc at the gym. I also bought an Inique leather case for it(from amazon)to stop it getting bashed about and I cannot fault it at all. The only reservation I do have is that the instruction manual supplied with the ipod is pretty useless particularly if you are new to these, but once you go on the apple website you can read the full manuals online and it soon becomes very easy to use. Definately would buy another.
