Lola is clearing out some of her old things because she does not want her bedroom to ever get as messy and pongy as Marv's older brother Marty's bedroom – yuk! Charlie persuades Lola that instead of throwing her things away, she should recycle them. "Recycle it? What is it?" asks Lola. With a bit of help from Charlie, Lola learns all about recycling and how it is extremely very important to look after our planet. Soon she has found an extra-specially fun way to do more recycling – and gets lots of her classmates to join in too!

Customer Reviews
We quite like it!
My four and a half year old son likes this book. He has put the tree poster up on the wall and is happily recycling and adding leaves. No, it isn't a bedtime story, but it is a nice simple introduction to recycling, for kids who already know Charlie and Lola.
Poor
We have several Charlie & Lola books, all of which are very popular with our toddlers. We bought this one thinking it would be equally good. It is in effect a council leaflet on recycling dressed up as a story for children. It doesn't read well:
"Every time you collect something to recycle you can stick a leaf on to a branch. When your tree counter is completely full up you can get your very own real tree to plant. Lola says 'I would love to plant a tree'. 'Well you'd better start recycling'. And Lola says 'OK Charlie'."
Not great bedtime story material.
