Just my opinion
Well I have to say not one of my favourite Elsa Beskow books. I was reading it over the Christmas holidays to my 5 and 3 year old and found them getting bored to all the dialogue/Rhymes and me too I'm afraid...Even though the illustrations are as gorgeous as ever, I would not recommend it to read aloud to little ones!! Sorry Elsa :/

sweet pictures, nice book, a bit old fashioned maybe
I have this book on our seasonal display - which is intended for my children. The pictures are sweet, some of the poems are quite nice, some are a bit odd.It is definately an item I get more pleasure from than the kids, perhaps because you can tell it is an old book and seems a little out-dated? Personally I like it, but I can't see any of my children ever giving it more than a quick glance.
