'A quick, fun read' (JEWISH CHRONICLE )
Horrid Henry was a majoy influence when I was creating my character Ugenia Lavender. If they were in the same story Henry would be Ugenia's nemesis... He is such an outrageous, out-there character who behaves like a mini adult with a sore head. This books is so funny - it's filled with jokes and dares. (Geri Halliwell The Mirror )

Francesca Simon lives in London with her English husband and their son. Tony Ross is one of Britain's best known illustrators. He lives in Cheshire. Tony Ross is one of the most popular and successful of all children's illustrators, with many picture books to his name. He has also produced line drawings for many fiction titles.

A bit too rude?
My 7-year-old is a big fan of the Horrid Henry books (as am I !!) and we've always enjoyed their naughtiness, storylines and characters.
However, having recently bought the Horrid Henry Joke Book, I have to say some (10%) of the jokes are unsuitable for 7-year-olds - and I'm no prude (or at least I don't think I am).
School playground humour is fine (I enjoyed it !) but I would not like to encourage my son to be telling some of the jokes in this book. Perhaps I'd be less of a fussy Dad if he were 9 or 10?
Horrid Henry
I have 3 young grandchildren who love the 'Horrid Henry' books, I think if you find a character in a book that they like it encourages them to read, and it will never be put away unopened, these I have bought are Christmas stocking fillers.
