Italian/English Visual Dictionary
I have started to work my way through the dictionary which I purchased recently. The illustrations are of excellent quality and the captions are easy to read.
However, after just a few pages, I have come across some typographical errors. For example, on Page 12, the Italian word for "thigh" is translated using the French word "cuisse" and, on Page 26, the letter "s" is missing from the word "anniversario".
Although I am sure I will find the dictionary very useful, I have one major criticism in that the stressed syllable of the Italian words is not indicated either in the captions of the illustrations or in the index at the back. This is very important in Italian and means that, if you are not sure of the stress of a word, you have to look it up in another dictionary!

Learning vocabulary is difficult. The word/picture association that this dictionary builds up is superb. It is well organised and comprehensive (considering the number of pictures required).
Certainly recommended to any beginner/intermediate
