Product Description

IMPERFECTLY NATURAL BABY AND TODDLER is for all parents who want to nourish this precious time and do the 'natural' bits they can - imperfectly. If you knew where to find the best cream for that nappy rash without any chemicals - you'd buy it - right? If you could get some suggestions on what to do for certain ailments without resorting to medication - you'd take it. Janey will share all her secrets and top tips for living holistically - your family, your relationships, your health, your happiness, your eco-footprint. More 'eco-virgin' than 'eco-warrior' Janey takes an interest in sustainability and doing a bit - albeit imperfectly. And this book is not just about the kids. Parents have to remain sane in all of this, as well as happy, fulfilled and healthy, their needs are important too. So you'll find it all in here - from tips on breastfeeding and first foods, sleep (or lack of) to how to treat headlice and hyperactivity. Janey will share what she believes and why, and point the reader in the direction of more research and support.

From the Author
I want every parent to reclaim their most important inherit quality - their intuition. Too many experts tell us we must follow routines, spend a fortune in money and gadgets. I'm no earth mother knitting my own yoghurt and I'm certainly not very green but when I had my first child 8 years ago I realised I wanted to leave behind a bit of the planet. I'll share all my recommendations for everything you'll need and want, helping you to save your health, your money and do your bit for the environment in the process. Everything from eco-nappies through to funky nursing necklaces.

Customer Reviews

The first baby book you should buy.5
If I'd had this before I had my children, I probably wouldn't have bothered to buy anything else. I've read it from cover to cover in one day & it's fabulous. Everything you need to know to get you started on the route to natural parenting, and plenty of information for those of us a little further down the track. All backed up with plenty of common sense & rooted in the real world.

Buy the book & come join the Imperfectly Natural forum.

Brilliant book full of great ideas5
Having been given "imperfectly natural women" for christmas, I've been looking forward to reading this book.I loved Janey's first book and this one is a definate must have for anyone with children who would like to try and lead a more natural life. As a mother to three young boys, I love the ideas and suggestions that Janey offers. It's a great read and has become my favourite breastfeeding companion (as well as the baby of course!) Love the forum too! Saving loads on my shopping bills thanks to all the great tips! Thanks Janey!

Great read!!!5
Just what we need.
A book with all the tips you need for bringing baby into the world without commercially produced toiletries and un-necessary chemicals.
I would advise anyone who may be pregnant, or thinking of having a baby to at least give this more natural way of thinking and living a chance.
A great read and I look forward to the next one!!!!
