An excellent find!
I bought this and her book 'Green Witchcraft - Folk Magic, Fairy Lore and Herb Craft'- suffice to say I've gone on to order the rest!
As a Solitary Witch for the past thirty-odd years, it was a surprisingly refreshing read and interesting to see another's take on things, especially the family tradition of practising Witchcraft within Catholicism! Aoumiel has continued with the Craft, but left the Church behind, much as I have, so it's easy to see where she's coming from.
The rituals that she does use are unfussy and easy and there's a ring of truth to them, that makes you feel as if you are coming home.
I loved the meditations too, which is surprising as I normally find other people's meditations as inspiring as having them recount a dream, you have to be there. Thankfully with Green Witchcraft II it's an easy trip.
An excellent book about the dark side of nature!
This is one of the best describing book of dark energies i've ever read. Its a really good in both practice and theory.
The only reason I didnt give it 5/5 is because I think its a bit too much meditation in it.
In a word - Dreadful !
I found this a pallid read at best. The authors comments upon the Ogam tree alphabet system - are really badly researched and uninformed - I would recommend readers to look to other books on this topic such as 'Ogam by Paul Rhys Mountford' Labelling them 'Dark' etc. Nonsense pure and utter Nonsense. For this reason I give this book one star. It is typical of the dreadful poor quality spin book produced by Llewellyn. Believe it all if you like ! But personally I wouldnt waste the money.
