Just buy it!
If you have just started out on the long road to being a guitar hero then you will need to buy the Totally Interactive Guitar Bible. This could sell for three or four times the price and still be a good deal. First you have a large colour book with information on the more popular guitar makers, with very good photo's, then you have a large ring binder full of step by step lessons and tips with tunes to learn. To supplement the book you have a CD that contains the music to go with the lessons and you also get a DVD that showcases a number of guitars and guitar related products. And the cover folds out to make a stand for the ring binder. Excellent!!
Excellent!!! Dangdelang!!
I got a great guitar for Christmas... Thanks Santa!!
I bought this along with Guitar for dummies and Electric Guitar from Beginner to band in 12 weeks... The Guitar Bible is defo the best out of the 3 although the fret stickers in Electric Guitar from beginner to band have come in very useful for chord progression. This has all the chords, scales, excercizes and techniques that you could possibly need with some pretty nifty tunes on the CD to play along with. While I'm still no Slash I can identify a real progression in my playing. This book has far more excersizes to get your left hand going over those frets and strings developing co-ordination that I never knew I had would totally recommend this to any new starters on the axe.
Cheers
Very well written!
I have just purchased this book and really am quite amazed at how good it is. I certainly have no regrets! I have been looking for a decent, clear and concise guitar tutorial book for ages and I think I have finally hit the nail on the head. I haven't really explored the included DVD very much but the tutorials in the book are ace! They are clear and easy to understand and are written in a way that makes it easy for beginners (like myself) to understand. The theory behind guitaring in explained very well.
Worth buying!
