A journey of discovery and creativity
This book should be on every scrapbooker's shelves. Through the 52 challenges Elsie inspires you to stretch your creativity and try new things not with prescriptive sketches but with general tasks such as rethinking your stash, using colours from home furnishings, documenting a day in your life, which allow to you use your own individual style. Elsie's own pages are shown in all their crazy, relaxed, informal, rule breaking glory alongside those from other scrappers with differing styles to show you different ways of interpreting the challenges. Not does this book make me want to complete all 52 of the challenges but also to see life with all the joy and enthusiasm Elsie seems to have in her life.

I love Elsie!
I read recently that Elsie's scrapbook style is now out of fashion. Frankly, I don't care.

If I think about my main reasons for scrapbooking, self expression is near the top. Making something pretty according to someone else's ideas doesn't tally with what I want to achieve and what I love about Elsie's style and this book is that she really seems to understand that. It's as though I had wanted to 'go wild' with my layouts but didn't really know how until Elsie pointed me in the right direction.
