Customer Reviews

Such a great 'chill out' album !5
September When I first met you and Let The Music Play are my favourites. Each is uniquely different. I think the former really is a wonderful, cleverly crafted but still - a sad love song. I think it is one of Barry's gems - especially for those who encountered an enduring love in this particularly 'month'. This track is up there with his rendition of Billy Joels' "Just the way you are" which I would liked also to have seen featured on this album. Nether the less it can be found on his "greatest hits" compilation. Let The Music Play is such an uplifting song (on a par with Abba's Dancing Queen) such that if I hear it - I just gotta get up and dance ! Who cares if I'm in my 50's - I'm still livin' the 70's haha ! If you like this music (and I'm a fan of 30 odd years) then try out his other albums. "Stone Gon'" for major romantics and "White Gold" for some stunning orchestral arrangements. What a talent and though he's gon' - he's left us with wonderful legacies. Thanks Mr White from Johnny F.

I couldn't believe that I found this!5
Many Barry White fans out there will already have some of these songs on other albums, but this is still another classic to have in your collection whether you are new fan or like me a 'veteran' (and I use that term very loosely). There is a mix of analogue and digital recording that brings this album together very nicely and of course the Love Unlimited orchestra! You can't go wrong if you are getting this for yourself or for someone else.
I have already got this album but I'm buying another one for a friend, just to share the enjoyment. I can't keep that to myself!
A 'must have' for definate..... so go ahead buy it.
Have fun and enjoy!! ;o)

Shortened Title Track1
Don't buy this re-issue as the title track playing time has been almost halved. The intro to Let The music Play is missing the all important rap intro in which Barry sets up the song. I bought when first released and loved it. Steer clear of this and go for the standard release instead.
