Madonna 4 minutes Vinyl5

great5
this version is by far the best. the mixes are a lot better than the ones on the uk release, and as usual there are more of them. the peter loves paris mix is my favourite. but they are all great. love it man, love it. if this is anything to go by, i cant wait for the next single, give it 2 me.

Great new Madonna single, ace remixes on here too! [2 x 12" Version]5

Wow! What a tune 4 Minutes is. The prospect of Madonna working with Justin and Timbaland intruiged me from the moment i heard about it but i never expected the end result to be as slick, modern and cool as 4 Minutes is. It's everything we know and love about Madonna but mixed in with something new - as always she's re-invented herself again and come back with a new album ' Hard Candy', 4 Minutes serving as brilliant taster for it.

4 Minutes is based around an insanely catchy synth-brass hook pumped over Timbaland's usual thumping, almost tribal beats. Madonna and Justin's voices go really well together - two pop icons working together to deliver a true winner of a track. It's got an urban edge to it that if anything hints back to her early 90s work on Erotica and Bedtime Stories. with elements of Hip-Hop and R&B showing just how versatile Madonna is.

Rarely one to disapoint with remixes, Madonna also treats us to the awesome Bob Sinclar mix on this 12" which packs a fierce bassline and some nice little funk stylings.

The Junkie XL mix if anything is even better, kicking off with an equally funky intro before going into a dreamy guitar and synth combo as the vocals start. It's relentless and just made for the dancefloor and proves Madonna hasn't lost any of the flair she showed off on Confessions. Masterful reworking of an already fantastic song. The Junkie XL Dirty Dub is a lot more raw but just completely amps up the bass even further - equally amazing.

The Peter Saves Paris mix is a really retro 80s version recalling Madonna's early days and the extended versions on the You Can Dance album. Lots of big synths and repeated vocals - pretty good too. The Tracy Young mix is more subdued but has a really classy feel to it while the Rebirth mix is full on commerical dance - a really sunny Ibiza feel to this one.

(This 2 x 12" version of the single comes in a card sleeve and contains two standard black vinyls)
