Carrying on regardless...
This book is an ideal chair-side companion to habitual viewers of Carry On films. Avoiding the hagiography which detracts from the value of other Carry On texts, Mark Campbell has a pleasingly critical yet obviously affectionate eye for the canon. I disagree with his likes and dislikes sometimes but that's the point of a critical text, isn't it? It has plenty of factual information and some fascinating titbits about the gang. I'd recommend it strongly to the freethinking and all-knowing Carry On fan.

Good for its price
I think I read this book in about 60mins. It's OK if you want a brief, potted history of the movies but there are are better books out there.
