cover is better than the contents
Considering this is not that old a book, as most machine knitting books are, the garments are horribly dated ! I bought it on the strength of the cover, which looked moderately interesting, and the fact it should contain reasonably up to date styles as it was only published in 2005. Not the case, I was very disappointed. Call me fussy, but I always felt the fall out of fashion of machine knitting was due to an awful lot of very crass garments knitted in nasty yarn, screaming "homemade" rather than "hand crafted ". This , sadly, does nothing to dispel that notion.
