Manufacturer's Description
In Medal of Honor European Assault gamers will play as US Army Lieutenant William Holt, hand-picked by William "Wild Bill" Donovan to be the first field agent of the newly formed Office of Strategic Services—the OSS. As Lieutenant Holt, your classified missions take place in WWII Europe and are of critical importance to the Allies. You will be tasked with gathering intelligence regarding the development and deployment of the deadly Nazi Tiger Tank and more significantly, stopping the Nazi plan to develop and harness atomic energy. In the pursuit of this goal you are thrust into action in all the pivotal battles of WWII Europe, including St. Nazaire, North Africa, Stalingrad, and the Battle of the Bulge.

Medal of Honor: The Apology4
The problem with Rising Sun was it was too easy and too short...Now I'm not sure how short European Assault is beca\use I am not finished it yet...and I have to admit to being a little worried that it is going to be a little too short again.

But this new inception of a popular title certainly takes away the pain that Rising Sun left us with....It certainly is NOT too easy.

The levels have primary objectives which are then supplemented during game time by secondary objectives, all of which need to be completed successfully to achieve the gold medal.

As the game develops, it gets harder and more frantic....at present I am pinned down somewhere in Mother Russia and I'm loving every minute of it.

This title does not offer the complexities of Brothers in Arms but what it does do is offer die-hard Medal of Honor fans a chance to get back into the saddle with some great gameplay and some fantastic video game action.

I reserve the right to only give it four stars because I have not reached the end....I am hoping for some bonus missions at the end.

medal of honor.2
Up until now I had been a big fan of the medal of honor series, though european assault was the first I've played on the xbox (all the others have been on a pc).

What a very average game, average graphics, average a.i., ermmm average and game length is short (not even average).

I've tried going back to this game hoping to renew my interest but sadly it looks like this one will be traded in for something else.

If you like this ww2 type of game then try sniper elite, it runs rings round this one.

Solid but unspectacular effort3
Why oh why do game developers create such long missions without the inclusion of checkpoints or a quick-save option? This game lacks both, and it makes it a frustrating experience. The player can spend as long as a half-hour battling through a mission, only to be killed and dumped back at the very beginning. This doesn't reward the player's effort, and it's made all the worse in this game because the squad-members are so stupid: they'll stand there and do nothing as a German soldier walks into a room and shoots you in the back, and they'll run gleefully into a hail of a machinegun fire.

On the plus side, and thank God there IS one, the graphics are competent, a sense of 'otherness' is achieved, and there's much satisfaction to be derived from firing bazookas at Tiger tanks.

With some checkpoints and a smarter squad, this game could have rated four stars. Roll on Halo 3.
