Getting better, but still not Jason Steed or Alex Rider
This the latest 'Jimmy Coates adventure' is getting better. It has come out the same time as 'By Royal Command' Young James Bond and a month after 'Fledgling' Jason Steed, so it has alot to live up to.( As yet nothing is as good as Jason Steed)
I and my two teen boys loved the Alex Rider series, Anthony Horowitz is a great author, we also love Young James Bond (Although By Royal Command was a little slow) We all agree Jason Steed is the better of all of them and cant waitfor the next Jason Steed book.
Jimmy Coates in the past has been good but not as good, its a bit more science fiction. Power is probably the best of the Jimmy Coates books. Joe Craig is getting better all the time, the book is fast, fun and even has a slight touch of humor. 'Power' could be made into a film it has everything needed to make a classic. Like my boys we are now looking forward to Joe Craigs next adventure with Jimmy Coates.
Jimmy Coates. Book 6
Power is the best in the series todate. Joe Craig has developed into a great author. England certanly can produce great authors. The book is fast and keeps you reading. Iw ont spoil the plot but if you are into teen hero books this one you will love.
The Best Jimmy Coates Yet!
Power is exactly the right title for the sixth Jimmy Coates adventure, because this book has it in spades!
From the spine-tingling opening where we find Jimmy trying to spread the truth about the government through what is almost certainly the most exciting action sequence a book has ever seen (I won't give anything away, suffice to say it involves helicopters and a very long bandage!) and beyond, this book will have you gripped, page after page. Bomb plots, stolen TV broadcasts and double-crosses galore - this novel has them all!
With each passing adventure from the pen of Joe Craig, I find myself asking just how he can top it in his next book, yet he always does. Jimmy Coates: Power, however, will take some beating.
